Working with Paul Young of Rondar Raceboats since 2010, I’ve learned about fiberglass repair and boatbuilding from one of the pre-eminent small boat builders in the world. I understand the construction, the loads, the trade-offs of strength and weight, material selection, and gelcoat finish work.

At MIT Sailing, my winter of 2023-24 is being spent reinforcing the floors of 30 Tech Dinghies built with an inadequate laminate structure. Anything built of fiberglass can be repaired.
